GRiT Academy

Credential Policy

How our credentials are issued, displayed and maintained.

What a GRiT Academy credential is

A GRiT Academy credential records that a named person completed a specific programme with us on a specific date. It is issued by GRiT Academy Pte Ltd.

It makes a specific claim about specific work, and anyone holding the link can check it.

How credentials are earned

A Certificate of Completion requires attendance for the full programme. Where a programme includes applied work, the criteria are stated on the credential page itself, and we do not issue the credential unless that work was submitted.

How verification works

Every credential carries a unique identifier printed on the certificate, and a permanent page at grittier.me that reflects the live status of that credential. If a credential is later revoked or expires, the page changes accordingly. A page that says a credential is active is accurate at the moment you load it.

Credential identifiers contain a random component and cannot be guessed or counted through. There is no way to browse or list our credential holders. A credential page is reached through the link its holder chooses to share, whether that is sent directly or published as the credential URL on their LinkedIn profile.

How names are displayed

Recipients choose how they appear, and can change that choice at any time:

  • Full name. The page shows the recipient's name.
  • Initials. The page confirms the credential is genuine but displays initials only.
  • Unlisted. The page works for anyone holding the link but is excluded from search engines.

We publish a full name only where the recipient has given consent and we hold a record of when that consent was given. Some client programmes are confidential by agreement, and those credentials are never published with names.

Corrections and reissue

If anything on a certificate is wrong, including the spelling of a name, tell us through the contact form and we will correct the record and reissue at no cost. There is no time limit on this.

If a recipient's name changes, we will reissue on request. The credential identifier stays the same, so any link already shared continues to work.

Expiry

A Certificate of Completion does not expire. It records something that happened, and that does not stop being true.

Credentials that recognise applied practice may carry a validity period, which is shown on the credential page where it applies.

Revocation

We may revoke a credential if it was issued in error, if it was obtained through misrepresentation, or if the holder asks us to withdraw it.

Using the certificate

Recipients may display their certificate and verification link on LinkedIn, personal websites, email signatures and professional profiles. The certificate may not be altered, recreated, resold, or used to imply accreditation beyond the criteria stated on the credential page. The GRiT Academy name and marks remain ours.

Your data

We hold the recipient's name, email address and record of participation, in order to issue the credential and answer verification enquiries. We do not sell this data or share it with third parties. Recipients may withdraw consent, change how their name is displayed, or ask us to revoke the credential entirely, at any time, through the contact form.

We keep credential records indefinitely, because a credential that cannot be verified in five years is not a credential.

Questions

Use the contact form. If you are checking a credential and something does not look right, please tell us. We would rather hear about it.
